Construction of flexible idlers

Onto a special treated steel rope with high tensile strength a rubber, with different shapes for different dimensions, will be vulcanized. The special steel rope is flexible at low temperatures and resistant against oxidation, the most chemical products and atmospheric conditions. On the vulcanised steel rope the Neopren disks will be installed.

Because of a groove in the Neopren disks the disks have a good adhesion on the rope and their special shape protects for horizontal movement. All facts together, the system is able to rotate. The Neopren disks are very resistant against abrasion.

The hook is out of cast iron and contains the ball bearings. It is filled with grease, protected against exterior influences and permanently self-lubricated.
